The Calafarina Cave is one of the most enigmatic places in the Iblean territory. Located among cliffs shaped by the wind and the scent of the sea, this natural cavity holds stories, myths, and ancient traces.

According to legend, the cave was the refuge of the widow of an Arab emir who, before leaving Sicily, ordered a mysterious treasure to be hidden deep within the rock. Since then, it is said that no one has ever managed to find it.
On sirocco nights, some swear they see reflections and shadows dancing on the walls. Perhaps the treasure is still guarded, perhaps the spirits are tasked with protecting it through the centuries.
Beyond the charm of legend, the cave presents important prehistoric evidence: engravings, fragments, and ancient shelters that attest to the presence of humans in remote eras.
