The Museum

“History is the witness of the times, the light of truth, the life of memory...” — Cicero

In the silent heart of Casuzze I Mori Museum, the ancient sandstone walls guard memories and stories that still resonate today. Every object, every detail, every nuance speaks of those who passed through this place before us.

Here time seems to slow down: past and present intertwine in a continuous dialogue made of sensations, scents, and small fragments of life. Every step becomes a journey, every glance an encounter with what once was.

Come and discover the magic of our Museum: a place where history is not just a memory, but a living, vibrant, authentic experience.

Timeline

A journey that crosses the years, the hands, the stories, and the memories that gave life to the Museum.

Early 1900s — The first sandstone stones are laid, shaping what will become one of the most characteristic rural houses in the area.

1950s — The farmhouse experiences its peak agricultural splendor: objects, utensils, and tools now on display were used in daily life.

1980s — Some spaces begin to transform, but the memories of stories passed down in the family remain alive.

2021 — The Casuzze I Mori project takes shape: the idea is born not only to restore the place, but to preserve its soul.

2022 — The Museum officially opens: a tribute to history, tradition, and authentic Sicily.

"Memory is not what we remember, but what chooses us to be remembered." — Luis Sepúlveda
